Muscat, Oman. Went out again at evening, headed up towards the mosque. Saw a Purple Sunbird, a dark glossy warbler-like bird with a curved bill, blue head and back with irridescent green shoulder bars, three-part call, tweet-tweet-tweet-too-too-too-trrrreee; a Ring-necked Parakeet, large green parrot with red beak and eye and long tail. Also this striking Indian Roller whose wings flash dark and light blue in flight, a House Crow with a grey mantle, and a Laughing Dove with rosy brown hue.
